First Aid Aromatherapy Remedies | Blisters, Heat&Fever, Insect Bites and Stings

I'm sure you found yourself so many times wondering what's the best, most effective natural solution to those very annoying accidents that mostly happen in summertime or when you are out and about during your holidays!

These are the solutions everyone should have handy at home:

-Blisters Remedy:
They can be painful and annoying, especially when they bursts. the revealed tissue beneath may be sore and become infected. A valuable solution is to apply a tea tree and lavender ointment regularly onto the affected area to reduce swelling and to prevent infection.
Apply 1 drop each essential oil directly to the blister with a cotton bud, then cover with a plaster to reduce the chance of infection.

-Sunburn and Fever Remedy:
I have to admit that this one happened to me when I was younger as well. I had a terrible sunburn after being on the beach all day on a cloudy day, thinking that I wouldn't get any sun...and instead I had one of the worst experiences of my life!
If I only knew that I could have done this fantastic cooling compress..
>Fill a bowl with cold water. Add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil and 3 drops of lavender essential oil to 1 tbsp of which hazel, then add the mix to the water.
>Soak a flannel in the bowl, remove and wring out.
>Place the compress on the skin and leave it in place until it reaches body temperature, then repeat 3 times.

-Insect Bites and Stings:
Don't underestimate a insect bite! If you get a series reaction, seek medical advice. In any other case, try this soothing compress that reduces  itching:
>Fill a bowl with cold water. Add 3 drops of lavender essential oil and 1 drop of roman chamomile to 1 tbsp of which hazel, then add the mix to the water.
>Soak a flannel in the bowl, remove and wring out.
>Place the flannel on the affected area and leave it in place until it reaches body temperature, then repeat 3 times.

Let me know if you try them out!
Is there any other home remedies you would like to hear about?

With Love,
Mari
