How to have an home spa experience | The perfect bath, essential oils and homemade bath soak.

When it comes to relaxation, we all wish to be spending a 24hour full immersion experience in a 5 star spa. But sometimes it's easy to get the same fantastic benefits in the comfort of our own home.

How? I'm going to give you the perfect tips to have a regenerative and pretty inexpensive experience.

- Create the perfect mood.

Don't be afraid of transforming your bathroom into a nordic spa room. You will need it to get the right vibes and to dive into a deep state of relaxation.
Switch the light off, light your favourite candle (I personally light 3 or 4 medium size candle to get the perfect level of light in the room and don't be in the complete dark) and turn on your favourite meditation playlist on Spotify.

- Choose the right candle

Make sure not to use a candle with an overwhelming scent or that has essential oils that tend to energise you excessively. My go to mix is lavender and geranium rose, chamomile, ylang ylang or lavender and sage.

- Get those salts into the water!

You cannot have the perfect bath if you don't use the perfect mix of bath salts and essential oils.
You can create the ultimate aromatherapy experience if you get this right.
Epson salts help you relaxing your muscles, thanks to the high amount of magnesium, which is an abundant mineral in the body.

You can mix them with essential oils to get the most out of it.

-Homemade bath salts

My go to is a mix of these 4 ingredients:
1 cup of Epson Salts
1/4 cup of Himalayan Pink Salts
5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
5 drops of Clary Sage Essential Oil

My tip: prepare this mix in advance, or during the time your bath tub takes to fill up, the reason why is that if you pour essential oils straight into the hot water, they will evaporate straight away. For instance, if you add the essential oils to the salts, they will be absorbed and you will not loose the benefits.

Are you ready to start your at home spa journey?

Let me know if you have any other way to make your relaxing experience special, or if you would like to know more about this topic!

With Love,
Mari
